Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Sn58Bi Components Prepared by Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion

چکیده
As a low melting point alloy, Sn58Bi alloy plays unique role in many fields. However, the brittleness of is limitation that has to be addressed for wider applications. According previous studies, third element addition favorable improved ductility, which attributable structure refinement. Therefore, laser beam powder bed fusion technology was adopted prepare components. Additionally, as-printed specimens presented more refined structures compared as-cast specimen, so they showed better plasticity. The excellent formability when were prepared by LBPBF between 40–80 W. density nearly remained stable above power higher than 40 W, and CT scanning could not detect internal defects, specimen likely well fabricated at high power. Within range with variation or velocity, energy changed accordingly, mechanical strength increase density. This change probably related microstructure evolution residual stress printing process.
